Notice after the tank gets hit from behind the turret moves a little, but behind. Tanks are blind and there's no way to tell the direction of the shot. I'm no expert but in these kinds of situations I'd be full speed ahead around the nearest corner to get out of there. The clip cuts a section out, so I'm not sure if the tank is immobile.
