Just watch Bald and Bankrupts two videos on these two areas. Transnistria, is clean and well maintained with a functioning small army and economy; and a brigade's worth of Russia military. Moldova on the other hand looks like a complete shit hole head to toe. Their capital city is an insult to a dump. Their military likely exists only paper. Maldivian's standard of living would vastly improve over night if they rejoined either Romanian or Russia and they know it and beg for it.
