Pretty sure it was not too long ago that any company with a link to the slave trade, no matter how tenuous, was getting cancelled or threatened until they paid reparations. I think it's a fair thing to do if you have the space. Lots of people are signing up for the virtue signalling side of it. Many probably secretly hoping they don't have to do anything. There will be inevitable language barriers and cultural differences however if it's for 6-8 months that's not too bad.
Both my parents have signed up and we have Ukrainian friends, so they will probably try and get people they know to come stay. I have a mate running supplied and refugees to and from the conflict zones. Would be happy to see his family stay with mine.
However ultimately I think lots if signing up and talking about going to fight stems a lot from coomer brain shower thoughts.

That's what is happening in Poland. They insist on being housed in the biggest cities, in effect creating 20% diaspora. There is not enough place for them, not even mentioning jobs. They would need to be relocated to every possible town and village in Poland to dilute it as much as possible and lighten the burden but these assholes are against it.
