I used to be the sort of person who cared about the law and thought you should follow it but then i realised you can be the most law-abiding citizen your whole life and still get screwed over so why bother? Apart from the literal engineers and scientists, every girl I've ever known who had an "interest" in STEM had a completely superficial interest. They were a combination of not intelligent enough and not genuinely interested. The kind of shallow meme-level fascination that is all too common. Same thing with video games, you find out a woman "plays video games" and you're like wow! But she plays 2 hours every 2 weeks.
It's pretty dissatisfying and there is no way to fix the distribution.
