Brazilian healthcare is fucking the worst. Just because it is on the offical statistics and is written in the law does not mean it works. It is easier to pay a private specialist doctor without a insurance plan than wait. Last time I got really sick I waited from 11 AM to 2 AM of the next day to get a 5 minutes appointment and get a recipe for a very expensive cough medicine. I it was during the pandemic, I would probably have died by being forced put in a respirator in the UTI to inflate the numbers.
