What I'm seeing is even at their best with overwhelming everything a cut off ambushed American unit successfully kept them at bay inflicting massive KIA as Gook commanders squandered men.
Realistic assessment says Chinese did NOT use mindless "human wave" but were fairly skillful in when and where to attack, etc,in line with any normal military operation, but still couldn't defeat US forces.
