If only Trump could return, force Qatar to sell oil cheaper than the OPEC alliance causing it to spiral downward in a trade war to -$30 a barrel and yet still see a rise in gas prices.

Gas is up because:
- demand. Two years in a pandemic has kept demand for fuel low
- bigger gas guzzlers. We learned nothing in 2008. Really, gas would always be less then $2 a gallon, time to by a monster truck
- inflation. Learn to read a graph people

Trump ordered a nationwide shutdown and killed the oil market in 2020, causing a fuck ton of production to stop (Shale operations don't easily re-start). Biden piled on, for sure, but the US produces 11,000,000,000 barrels of oil and consumes 8,000,000,000 so we're a net exporter. This is a global demand issue, not a domestic supply issue.

Good news is that high oil prices make domestic oil exploration profitable and those are good paying jobs.
