F-35 have weak fire power and fly time. Russia can’t shoot them down in the sky but they only really need to bomb Finnish airbases (F-35 can’t land on normal roads) and that will pretty much eliminate entire Finnish airforce. It only makes sense if Finland get access to airbases in eg Sweden that is out of reach from Sweden. If Sweden and Finland sign a bilateral defense agreement Finlands F-35 could complement our Gripen quite well, but if they are to stay neutral (or join NATO) then they are fucked basically, as F-35 is useless without runways.
