they can push it all they want, simple fact remains that there is nowhere near enough infrastructure or electricity production to support electric vehicles in the numbers by which this country needs cars to get around. where I live, electric car chargers are extremely rare, and the ones that are there take a long time to charge a vehicle up.

It absolutely would especially on things like food that need oil not only for shipping but also for refrigeration/storage. On average one's washing machine and fridge make up roughly half one's electric bill for starters. That cost in the case of supermarkets is then made up with higher prices (unrelated to inflation). What were in is stagflation that's about to see hyperinflation added on top of that.

I just don't see gas prices going down. We've been very lucky to have 2 dollar gas through the trumb administration, but that was before serious inflation. I think we're going to have to get use to 3-5 dollar gas and just try to be smarter with our driving habits.
