With all the bullshit going on with our country, how fucked modern America is, and how it's getting our soldiers killed for nothing. I've seen even patriotic Americans burn/destroy the American flag out of protest and anger, not like the negro lives matter out of spite but out of hatred for what the government is doing to our soldiers/etc. Is this patriotism or is this still blatant disrespect for America? Curious.
Yes, but I mostly asked because myself and my friends are very patriotic and one of my friends had ripped, spit on, and burned the American flag despite that, he's in a military family and is very patriotic but hates that our soldiers are dying for naught. Is this still patriotism or is this disrespect? It's a whole argument my bros got going on lol
It's definitely some degree of cope, but in my mind, what the flag represents has nothing to do with whatever entity is in power. It's some demon wearing the mummified skin of what the US was

do you think that attitude might be partially why you're not getting the respect you think you deserve? why should the south give a toss about what happens to the union when all they ever hear is "you're a bunch of traitors, now shut the fuck up and suck our dicks"
Grayson Ross
I somewhat agree, but would it be considered anti-american or disrespect to the union? Or can It be considered a protest against the entity?
I'm also remembering that veteran who burned his uniform because the government fucked him over. The modern federal government of America hates America more than anything else

so much for "reconciliation" don't expect a butthurt child like OP to understand his own history.
