With that being said, if it's one thing I know about the Chechens, it's that they're all about image. All of the footage of Chechen soldiers really pushing the "liberator" narrative. Carefully doctored footage of Chechen troops helping people cross the streets and checking on citizens wellness by going door-to-door. They put a heavy spin on everything.
I am confident that Kadyrov is nowhere near Kyiv and probably somewhere closer to the Donbas. Likely shitting his pants too. He knows that given the state of Russia, even he isn't immune to Putin's will. He's lived this lavish make-belief-dictator lifestyle his entire life and now it's time to put his money where his mouth is.
Chechen soldiers on the ground seem to have a lot more flashy equipment then their counterparts. There has clearly been a lot of money invested into this paramilitary. It's a shame that many of them don't know how to actually use it.
