A weak EUROPE and USA is of benefit to Russia. So they promoted brexit to right wingers to cause UK to break away from EU. Then they promoted Trump to office because that guy is a fucking disgrace of a president. Not only they promoted but regardless of the outcome they caused a greater rift between lefties and right wingers. Then they fuelled the antivaxx movement which coincidentally has only really taken off in Europe and USA. Other countries don't have such large antivax and covid denial movements. Purpose of thsi was to cause further distrust to western governments from within and to cause further internal conflict. Tell me where I am wrong?
Russian propaganda machine has been proven to operate in various ways such as, for example, creating fbook interest groups that from time to time promote political positions that they desire. These groups can be about fucking gardening. And for a year or so they'll only post gardening content. Once they establish a good amount of members they then peddle their propaganda. They achieve this by engaging with in group identities. For example if I am a gardener or someone who really enjoys gardening, I am more likely to accept/agree with positions that the same group of people like me are promoting.
