Why did Russia allow the Euromaidan to happen?...

why did Russia allow the Euromaidan to happen?? they could‘ve ordered Yanukovych to ask for their military intervention and brand the demonstration as rebellion and terrorist.

>why did Russia allow the Euromaidan to happen\
Because Russia is weak.

if they intervene directly back then, they could‘ve fought an unarmed rebels with the help of Ukraine military. and nato couldn‘t do shit.

Why did they not massacre the entire ukrainian nation rebeling for their freedom?
the actual answer is because they were afraid of sanctions

The USA was still feared back then.

why tho?? what makes putin to suddenly think it's the perfect time to massacre Ukrainian. what make the sanctions different now and then?

They probably werent prepared to that form of tactic, yet.

it was before the western purge of bigots from the military

My guess is we were taken by surprise. This is out biggest mistake. We could have averted so many deaths, ours and ukrainians if we just nipped this bullshit in the bud.

We're weak, divided, broke, dependent, and running out of gas. American wars are weapons tests, and you can't test weapons you can't move or operate.

In order to annex Crimea afterwards.

Putin thought they have a deal the the EU for Yanukovich to step down and hold an election to ease political tension in the country. The deal was signed and Ukraine police was ordered to stand down. The next day, the US bypassed the EU to order the coup with the help of their Nazboi army and the rest was history. Nuland even said “fuck the EU” for that.

this what puzzled me if USA and allies cant do shit with crimea annexation. they definitely cant do shit with Russian marching toward Kiev with the blessing of then Ukrainian government

They couldn't have annexed Crimea if they had supported Yanukovich.

But you didnt because you are weak and pathetic and unmanly. You will be disintegrated again.

If more nations realize how powerless we are then expect to see global shifts in power. Russia and chyner are cohesive nations, more or less. We are not. Sometimes that makes all the difference.
Also we really are running out of gas and useful cannon fodder.

Says the no count.

Big words from the other side of the world

>the entire ukrainian nation rebeling for their freedom
You seriously believe this when almost a third of the population are Russian speakers?

>allow
They made it happen bloody, so they could invade.
Same how in Belarus they essentially annexed it or how in Kazahstan they killed Russian unfriendly opposition under the guise of "western color revolutions".

The maidan was just few students that started to go home on day 2 until Yanukivich brought in OMON and Russia brought violent actors.

>He needed to do it while Europe was still dependent on Russian gas
>Worldwide inflation makes sanctions more risky for the west
>Spent the intervening years stockpiling noncash assets and working toward food security
>Ukraine is getting better armed and trained by the day, waiting longer makes it harder
