Is this the safest country to stash your money now?
God I want a Japanese gf...
No. I got an email from Bitflyer a few days ago telling me that we now have to log the name and physical address of who we transfer our Bitcoin or funds to. The reason was "terrorism."
Jpy and usd both good
Unironically America
God no, the only correct answer is Switzerland
No lady tamamo-no-mae will nuke it
Surprised that bongistan isn't higher
Don't place it here, the government will steal it without a care in the world.
Also interesting looking at it per capita.
US is actually lower than the average of the Euro-zone (if you count the "German" gold reserves in vaults in the US and UK .. if not it should turn out similar to the US.)
These rates have more to do than just creditworthiness (Yen carry is still a thing), but the 10yr borrowing rate for JPY is 0.185% and UST is 1.99%, so the market is implying that yes, it is.
But the market also thinks Italy is a better credit risk than Canada over the next 10 years. So take this with a grain of saltbae.
Oh no, they are like $900, get a Korean.
idk
The US also holds literal tons of gold from other countries as well. A fair amount from Germany.
Foreign countries store gold in Federal Reserve vaults in the US because it's safe and politically stable.
Point being that were the world to go to shit and all countries pull a Civ V move on America, the US could just confiscate foreign gold and add to the stack.
(Having said all that I don't know for sure that that chart is truthful. I don't think the US has that much gold in reserve.)
>tfw New Zealand doesn't exist
So it's China.
It's for the best little buddy, I've even started removing you from maps on Wikipedia in the hopes that when WW3 kicks off the world will forget you exist and you can just chill while the nukes fly.
Cringe
