Actually you're absolutely wrong, it's a lack of both tough love and soft love that's fucking up kids today. A huge number of children have grown up without fathers in the home. I got the living shit beat out of me by my father, but only very rarely. He gave lots of hugs and talked to me about life, and how to solve problems i faced growing up. He only had 3 rules, literally. Don't lie to him, don't steal, and do what he told me to do when he told me to do it, without complaining. I learned by example to be extremely independent as a child, i was hunting squirrels and rabbits before i was 10 and hunting deer before i was 12, no supervision needed. I did well in school and had the confidence to talk to girls. Real white men are like this because they set a good example and are only tough on their kids when they need to be. He was an excellent example to follow and i grew up very, very well, even though we were very poor.
