I'm starting to think, based on Russia's war performance in Ukraine, that they were never really a threat outside their nukes and were just hyped up by the US government to get more defense spending.

How off am I?

Appear weak when you are strong.

faggots not knowing the difference between limited/total war

you sure dude? Russia’s current limited war is the equivalent of the US military of sending all of the US ROTC members to fight

I dont think they ever intended to make a very strong presence in Ukraine. Somethings up.

im starting to think the whole war is fake. I keep reading stories about russians bombarding cities, occupying cities, but I havent even seen a single actual fire fight

They live to suck american cock

1) Russia is only using the oldest equipment.

2) That they did what they did without destroying Ukraine's infrastructure is already quite an achievement.

>How off am I?
A bit. Russians were happy trumping up the fears by creating fake ass wunderwaffes and steal the actual budget, allocated to produce them. So, our govt didn't have to do a thing here, just react as they should react.

Based on what? The US/UK bombing pakis in the desert? Totally different environments, weather, fighting capabilities on both sides, etc.

You can't level Kiev when you value the people who live there (White vs Paki)

Art of War. Send in your D team first so everyone thinks you're weak.

>kills civilians indiscriminently
>bro we care about these people it's why we aren't being serious!

Ok

russia went in completely restrained

when the US invaded iraq we leveled all of their cities with cruise missiles and "precision" bombing so hard it might as well have been carpet bombing

not to mention after the initial assault the widespread use of massive bombs and artillery and drones and all that

we killed millions of civilians in exchange for low casualties

It's questionable how many of their nukes even work

Tell me what war the US had won since the end of WW2.

So let me get this straight. You don't believe US propaganda about Russia being strong, but you do believe US propaganda about Russia having difficulty in Ukraine?

that was actually their best

The Cold War, our only one with Russia.

Ukraine military sites destroyed 2500 russian military sites destroyed 0

Russia is the reason Hitler lost WW2, and they were a garbage ass military back then too. What makes Russia so dangerous, is that their entire population is more than willing to sacrifice themselves in order to save their country. They’re a very hard, very brutal people, with an unbelievably strong resolve, and a hidden sensitive side that makes them overly passionate about whatever task they take up.

To defeat Russia, you have to kill every single Russian on planet Earth.
If you want to compare them to another nation, Japan in ww2 probably comes pretty close, as do the North Vietnamese, and probably a lot of middle eastern nations as well.

I've yet to see any evidence of indiscriminate bombing by the Russians. A blown up hospital or apartment building isn't indiscriminate before you post these, Ukrainians are well known to fight from within apartment blocks.

Iraq in '91, '03, and '15. 3 time Iraq Champions! ...every 12 years.

Putin don't value Ukrainians, they are an obstacle for him.

Russia is not a peer competitor to the US they are a regional power.
In the cold war they were scary because we didn't know what we didn't know. We had to operate under the assumption that they were in close competition to us. They are not.

China is the closest thing we have to a peer competitor but they're still very far away from presenting an actual threat.

Cope. Even western war veterans got scared by the Russians because they realized they weren’t fighting sandniggers who lived in caves.

None. Winning wars is unprofitable.

During the cold war they had formidable forces but one that fell apart their shit stagnated and fell apart

Yes we are too weak so you can easily dismatle NATO.

Amusingly you're off in both directions.
The Russian military isn't as good as it's hyped to be, but no military is.
The current conflict and 100% one sided propaganda is now warping your perception in the opposite direction because it currently suits their purposes.

The real problem to me is that the less a threat they are conventially, the more they will be in a nuclear sense
it could get real

Video of Russian reconnaissance units fighting of Ukrainian military in armored personal carriers using grenades. The Russians are more professional and keep their lines, Ukrainians are driving up and down the road in panic.

russia has always been awful at invasions but very good at defending the motherland

That's what frustrates me the most about the bullshit propaganda from this war
A handful of civilians - usually near buildings with legit targets next to them - get injured
And all the fucktards on Twatter and Leddit cry "WAR CRIMEZZZZ"

I guess most of them probably weren't alive for either Gulf War, so they have no sense of history

Cold War was against communism, not Russia, and you lost it badly. Now they destroy your country from inside

Good think your opinion means absolutely nothing to everyone. US wouldn't have lasted 20 years with your genius intelect.
