WWIII APPROACHES Plant your fruits, veggies, and herbs to protect yourself and your family TODAY. >in b4 no yard >in b4 apartment >in b4 already poor can’t get started Cloth containers are cheap and provide great drainage for potted plants. #20 1 gallon (6”) cloth pots are $19 and can grow plants such as herbs, lettuces, and small onions.
You can buy (or steal) fruits and vegetables from the store and use scraps to grow the plant.
Seeds can be found cheap. You don’t need rare heirloom tomatoes. One packet is WAY MORE than you would ever need.
5 gallon buckets are cheap and can be used to grow tomato plants.
Pick 1-2 leafy greens, pick a few herbs, and grow tomatoes if you don’t know what else to start with because those are easy and provide a wide range of nutrients.
Any tips on how to get free mulch and halfway decent soil in bulk guys? I live in the country, and can get horse shit by the bag for cheap (same as coke and chicken shit) it’s just soil is so fucken expensive and so is mulch

I started some alaska peas and spanish onions in jiffy-7s a week ago, and even with our sparse sunlight, I already have several sprouts to plant later. I'm impressed with them so far.

Horse shit is deficit in phosphorus. Add beer or piss to it. If you keep an aquarium, the common pest snails are fantastic at turning useless wood into usable compost tea.

I want to grow potatoes in a large container because I don’t have a ton of yard space I can dedicate to them. They look like so much fun to dig up!
I don't know what kind of trees you have there in Australia, but there are plenty kinds of tree leaves that make a good mulch. Just do research because some of them are too acidic and some have toxins that inhibit plant growth like walnut leaves.

Wood ashes help, if you have a fireplace. Otherwise hippies use incense for more than just dumb shit. Don't use cigarette ashes because they are toxic to everything. Nicotine teas can make a big difference in most pest problems. 1-100 piss to water is safe for any food plant.
PROTIP: Starbucks throws away their grounds from the espresso machines in a separate garbage from all other garbage. You can ask them for their bag of grounds and unless they’re faggots they’ll give it to you gladly. Great source of nitrogen and the scent deters ants.
If it's too acidic, add minerals. Eggshells, limestone, bonemeal, epsom salts.
Unless it's crazy acidic you still can plant tomatoes, peppers and eggplant. Peppers like hot soil, so if you can heat them from the bottom when young, it makes months of difference in cold places.
If your plants are growing too fast, reduce fertilizer and watering until they ever so slightly start wilting.
But seriously grow tobacco with your inbred corn. (Sweet corn is retarded and needs help, other corn plants do what tobacco plants do for your garden.) It summons moths at the chemical screams of another plant being injured by insects. It also hosts predatory nematodes that kill soil pests.

Started tomatoes a couple days ago and it froze now they are all dead
