Why are they dragging their feet?

They're a democracy, aren't they?

Why aren't they siding with us against an authoritarian regime?

Because the US had a retarded middle east policy for the past decades that caused them to side with Pakistan against India, so India aligned themselves with Russia. Now that Russia is imploding and the US realizes that supporting Pakistan over India is pretty retarded relations between India and US are slowly becoming more positive, but they have a long way to go and India is still afraid of backstabbing Russia.

Well like others said, they don't have to.
It would be nice if they did, but maybe it's not in they're best interests to get involved.

Backstabbing is looked down upon in India unlike in the USA. So they don't want to backstab Russia. I don't blame them for not wanting to be a total peace of shit.

because you are an authoritarian regime

How many rubles are you paid to tell lies?
Do you lie for free?

Because the American government saw a non aligned India that was on friendly terms with the Soviet Union during the Cold War era as a threat to American hegemony. So they sided with Pakistan to balance out the possibility of a combined Soviet-Indo alliance being the new center of global power

During the 1974 war between India and Pakistan, the American administration downplayed an actual genocide taking place (look up the Blood Telegram) to maintain their geopolitical interests in the area. They even sent ships as a show of force to the Indian Ocean and the only ones to back India during then was the Soviet Union. USA and its allies also sanctioned India for nuclear testing whereas the Soviet Union/Russia has declined to do so.

Fast forward to 2022, India has a defence industry that imports over 70% of its equipment from Russia, and is also reliant on a lot of other Russian imports for critical sectors. The russians have also helped with shit like building nuclear power stations and even leased out a nuclear submarine to India.

I am an Indian, I do not support the Russian regime or what Putin is doing right now, but America has forced India into a foreign policy trap where the best option is to just say nothing and not take any sides while urging for de-escalation (which is what they're doing). Condemning Russia would be a death sentence for India and we know the USA will not be stepping in to back us up. I do not hate the USA, but I do think its an extremely unreliable ally on the global stage.

Nothing new there. Keep sucking paki dick as you have been for last 75 years. Get more 911s.

Good morning sirs. Super power 2020.

We just delivered some glory to pakistan in mian channu
too bad your glowie ass wasn't their to take it all in

porkistan can sniff biden's 1/2 inch pp for all we care

Backstabbing and lying are two very different things. Do you understand that?

Ine must love how those western bots identify themselves every step of the way using a silly CONCEPT like selective capslocking

bro you're no one to talk about arguments

India and Russia have a long standing friendly relationship, going back to when the Soviet Navy protected India from a planned British attack. Since then the two have made deep economic ties. Over 50% of the people in India work in the agricultural sector to keep the country fed. They're heavily reliant on Russia for agricultural goods such as fertilizer. Without Russia agriculture goods, India crop yield plummet and they have a huge famine. They also rely on Russia for military hardware, which they need in their lukewarm war with Pakistan.
India isn't going to sacrifice this longterm relationship and let several hundred million Indians starve to death because the US is having another temper tantrum. India's relationship with Russia is far more important to them than their relationship with the US.

Because your retarded war mongering country sent ships to attack India during 1971 war and Russia stopped them
swarajyamag.com/world/december-1971-when-the-us-sent-its-naval-ships-into-bay-of-bengal-and-ussr-responded

It's funny how many of these types of incidents have happened around the world but the people here in the US have no knowledge of them and when informed, don't think they're a big deal.

Don't they love Russian fighter planes? Powered by Poo™ of course.

We do it so often it is just another monday for us. But for those on the receiving end, it will forever make them cautious and bitter when dealing with the US. Its also why majority of the world is cynical as hell when we preach freedom and democracy, because everyone can smell the shit coming out of our mouth.

Yes! we will side with west who supported pakis during indo-pak war

Because you are worse than the Russians while also being hypocritical counts about it. Example:
>we are a democracy
>they are a democracy
>that means they should do what we want

okay sir but do not redeem okay sir thank you sorry about that

Words don't have meaning anymore. They're marketing terms and Democracy is just another brand name that stands more for a set of emotions rather than any objective set of rules for governance.

India does not have a fertilizer problem.
