people are fed up with christianity. christianity in and of itself is not a totally horrible religion, in its pure form it has many ideas and rules that are great but no one genuinely follows them, not even priests and bishops. so it's not a real religion anymore, it's a perversion of christ's teaching and people who are smart either moved away from it or converted to another religion such as paganism

If it's the viking sort where they are hoping to get into Valhalla by killing lots of the enemy and having a good death in battle then it's actually pretty based. My main issue with modern Paganism is that it's dominated by female kind of energy. The kind that lights a few candles and is all about 'thoughts and prayers'. For a religion to succeed long term it needs to maintain enough masculine energy.
