The reactors still are similar, but it's no longer possible to remove as many control rods, and they are no longer graphite tipped, so emulating Chernobyl is not possible. Causing damage to the reactor of course IS possible still, but the worst case scenario is only a partial meltdown, kinda like in Fukushima, not an explosive release as in Chernobyl.
The main damage would be restricted to the power plant itself.
