Is this the worst military performance in human history?

Is this the worst military performance in human history?

I'm not a history buff. Does anyone know of any other examples of a military with such high expectations underperforming as badly as the Russians are doing right now? It seems like literally anything that they could do wrong they are doing wrong.

Italian army in WWII and before

Australia 1932

Italian army any time

no, that is the USA in any conflict ever.

theres been much funnier fuckups, but russias invasion is up there

keep in mind theyre still winning, but its been an eye opener that they arent as professional and well equipped as they tried LARPing for the last decade

kek no

Americans performed much better in Iraq

yes, Kiev and Kharkov will be interesting once Russians actually go in there

48hrs to take control, not bad. Nato couldn't control Afghanistan after what? 15 years?

Idk if is or not.

All information from the west points to yes.

But it still looks like,

The Russians have all key objectives encircled.

Russia owns the air

Ukraine government near collapse

All while collateral damage and civ deaths are comparatively low (us vs iraq)

The above is the other sides argument.

The question is who the fuck is right

For me it's how they lost 4x as many aircraft than they had

Idk, conquering at nearly twice the rate of US in Iraq, having the fastest invasion in history, against an enemy supplied with American weapons and javelins, while stopping to make corridors instead of carpet bombing everything is not exactly a failure by some.

Ausies lost to fucking birds

>yes, Kiev and Kharkov will be interesting once Russians actually go in there

Obviously they're not; they learned from Grozny 1.

everyone knows who you are ruski fuck

>Conquered 40% of the largest nation in Europe in 2 weeks despite unlimited NATO & EU support against them

Idk seems pretty decent
Not sure what the shill argument is

that's no challenge for an italian commander, but only their greatest generals can lose more soldiers than they have

Pretty sure the US would have been faster if they shared a huge land border with Iraq rather than needing to manage logistics 3000 miles away.

Kek as if they will even fight
1/3 of their army is Russian retard, imagine thinking they will fight against Russia for a western appointed govt

The US spend how long in Vietnam and Afghanistan only to lose in the end?

equating the situation of afghanistan with ukraine is fucking retarded
were talking about a close country that has similar infrastructure and culture than the surrounding eastern euros, to a mountainous shithole still stuck in the dark ages and with an endless supply of durkas comming over from Pakistan, a supposed ally, not to forget that afghanistan is one of the worst places on earth if you want a working supply chain there

The moment soldiers leave their vehicles without an enemy in sight, you do something wrong.

I have played more than 4000 hours with Advanced Wars.

they have to take it at some point or else they would have wasted all of those Units they got to invade from the north

They killed like 100k civilians tho

>The United States bombed Iraq for a month with all possible weapons, regardless of any damage to civilians and the country's infrastructure.
>It took them a month and a half to occupy the country, despite the fact that, again, they fucked up everything that was moving fucking civilians to the right and left.
>Russia literally uses a police operation, no bombing, a minimum of aviation and heavy equipment, minimal damage to civilians and infrastructure, humanitarian convoys and the distribution of humanitarian aid in the occupied territories.
>The United States, moreover, had already destroyed the Iraqi army in 1991, and the US army had a tremendous advantage in the level of technology, Russia and Ukraine are not very different, the same tanks, trucks and armored jeeps, Russia has an advantage only in high-precision missiles and aircraft, but Ukraine was stuffed with the latest hand-held anti-tank and anti-aircraft systems.
>Russia has already occupied 45% of Ukraine in 2 weeks. According to the Americans, this is a very pitiful result.

egypt in the 6 day war

Australia in the Great Emu War

21 days from the border to Baghdad.

No? You're being fed propaganda and believe everything you hear from an entirely pro-Ukraine media sphere. If you compare this invasion to the ones by US in the middle east, Russia is actually doing good.

The mutts sent nearly 500.000 troops to Iraq - 35%
The Russians sent 100.000 troops tok Ukraine - 5%
