I've served in the military. The past two decades we were fighting letteral barbarians with old cold war small arms and IED's. Air support was always a phone call away. Medevac was always a phone call away. Constant drone surveillance.
Now these idiots go off to a real war were YOU ARE disposable and they will send you places knowing you will die for strategic gain to win the war. The Russians have all the same toys we do. They may suck but you still have to send tanks to face their tanks. You still have to send fighters to shoot down theirs. A full scale near peer war is guaranteed casualties in the tens of thousands right now. If the US got involved there would the 100,000+ dead on both sides with in a month.
