not watching an hour long youtube, user.
finnish is such a nice language
There is a reason why Finland got conscription system and whole training is focused on countering similar shitshow we are witnessing in Ukraine. Now you know why Finland got so much artillery, all those Russian junk columns would get vaporized in Finland.
youtu.be
finnland is overrated
Finnland Environment would win the war alone
Its Full of Thick Forests and Marshes
It would be a modern Teutoburg but 1000x worse
That and now with those F-35 they purchased it is basically air superiority for them. Hell, they were already a formidable opponent with the F-18 hornets.
but how will it stop air raids
AA/MANPADS
Lmao
Its worse than i tought
Based Finns.
Finnish hornet carrying 12 X AAM
Finnish military is like your buddy who carries 20 mags and a bunch of drums for his AR.
Yes, but apparently were also that buddy who won't give you any of those mags because we might maybe possibly need them later and can't you get your own?
Yeah
Fuck that guy
Selfish bastard
Seen it. Pretty informative and gives an idea why russians think like they do.
If I recall correctly around the time they purchased those, the question was why not something more everyday like F-16s that are just as competent for their needs? The reasoning came down to two jet engine that increased its survivability with the pilot. Also the marine version on top of that because of the reinforced nature of the design, due to it being made to tolerate the violence of the aircraft carrier launch catapult
Durability is necessary as in case of war they use a lot of highways as temporary airfields, together with all of the complications it brings.
Finns took the lessons of Winter War and continuation war to heart. Vatniks would absolutely be slaughtered if they got attempted to play owner with them.
Goddamn, this explain quite a lot of vatniks actions actually.
Truth is Finnish AA is currently pretty trash and relies on Hornets being able to operate. But as we see in Ukraine their air force isn't able to intercept very well due to the huge AA umbrella Russians operate under.
We only got around 200 stingers. Should make that a 1000. Maybe after we buy the Barak 8 from Israel and F-35 we will be in some shape.
Great lecture and pretty fun as well. Explains vatnik delusions pretty well. If you wonder context of picture, Russian shills in charge of defending very humble and modest man of faith that lives ascetic life with watch worth couple dozen average Russians annual salaries.
Main lesson of WWII for Finland was that there is no such thing as too much indirect fire. There more to indirect fire than artillery. There is reason why fire support platoon of infantry company has mortars and why there is mortar company on battalion level.
Given what is going on Ukraine, NASAMS might be better counter to Russian AF than anticipated, they don't seem to have enough PGM's to stay out of reach its slightly limited vertical reach for medium SAM system.
/k/ is the most fun when there is a war!
Ukraine has a larger field altillery, user...
Boomers will do their part too!
Just keep in mind that Russia was one of the main inspirations for Ingsoc. If there is one thing they have perfected, its the art of bullshitting everyone, though I think after this year the world is going to have a very different tone towards them.
Finland should buy more NASAMs and crotale.
Swedish assistance with Gripens who are custom built to wreck Russian jets and can appear from anywhere due to the thick forest
meh, they gave us spurdo, they're alright in my book.
Ukraine has 40 million people. Finland has 5 million. Relative to population and territory Russians might be facing more indirect fire in Finland.
They have perfected art of bullshitting themselves.
watched it liked it sent it to russian GF she agrees and sent it onwards to their russian senpai.
thabks user
good summary
Last time FDF saw action was in 2015 during the operation "Cuckstorm" when they helped 32,000 shitskins to infiltrate Finland and carried their bags across the border from Sweden to Finland.
wtf, why are czechia and finland so huge compared to russia?
That's not a Finnish hornet because that is definitely not Finland.
also, I tried this loadout in DCS and my jet was basically out of fuel by the time I was at combat altitude.
music?
Because Finland is a modern and prosperous western country?
Note Finland's GDP per capita is around double the Czech one
Compared to Russia, five times higher
OP's video has good hour long explanation of why Russia is what it is and how it differs from western countries.
TL;DR
Corruption that exists on all levels of Russian society and has been there since 15th century.
Italian guy in ylilauta Any Forums gave us Gondola.
And the pathological need for a strong daddy, who can never be wrong no matter what. They see democracy as chaos and their duty as the people to sacrifice themselves for the Tsar/President/Moke for he is appointed by God.
Notice how this is the same ideology they skullfucked into the magatroons.
Shit is too logical

if you think this shit makes these guys look tought or professional you are delusional, lmao. Those chechens may be ok for bullying civilians in their country, but they are dead meat against a western trained force in their own land like the ukies.
just give me a quick rundown on ruskis, hefe
Never really changed that much from being disposable serfs, and it shows.

This isn't "a youtube", it's a recorded university lecture given by a career intelligence officer.
Is it? I know Tolkien was a fan, but otherwise comments from foreigners I've seen mostly focus on how strange they find it, usually somewhat negatively. How does it sound to you? Where are you from?
Nta, but leafistani. Finnish sounds equal parts funny and melodic, it's quite nice.
the lecture details that
>Notice how this is the same ideology they skullfucked into the magatroons in my headcanon
Thanks user
In your reality as well. You have all the symptoms, you're just too docile to see them.
>be a corrupt shithole
>oligarchs own everything
>everyone else is poor
>oligarchs sell all raw materials directly to china and the west
>average yuri can't afford and isn't interested in making any produce with said raw materials because that would require thoughts and the vodka won't give none
>the few russian produces are remains of collective soviet industry and as a result, shit that nobody outside russia wants
>remain a shithole
you forgot the part where all the money that was made was "vanished" in they thoroughly corrupt country
Man, how do you fix this? It's like blue/orange morality or some shit.
Do the Ukrainians have a better understanding of the cultural retardation? It's hurting my brain.
will some cunt just give us a qrd already
see
that's about as quick as you can get from an hour long lecture but obviously it's deeper than that
wow good job russia you manage to match the BR?BRBRBRBRs on economics incredible
tl;dw the Russians got raped by the Mongols so hard that they turned into a slavish servile culture constantly paranoid about their enemies, who need a strong man god-king to maintain stability in their lives. Because their whole society was formed around pleasing their Mongol overlords, they can lie and steal so long as it preserves social order. They have no hope for their future and want the strong man to make all decisions for them.
It's basically one of those screencaps of Any Forums or Any Forums or whatever that explains how the Chinese or Indians are a conquered mutt slave race throughout history, except in university lecture form. And about Russians.
I think the interesting thing to me is that it puts Putin as the centralizing figure of Russian society whereas from a western perspective, we tend to think of our leaders as puppets of the true powers that be. So for example Biden was put into place by the DNC or giant corporations and so on. Instead of Putin being in power at the pleasure of the oligarchs, instead it the oligarchs are his boyars and serve at his pleasure. Bad news if you were hoping some PO'd oligarch would put a bullet in Putin's head and end this whole thing.
Russkies subhumans confirmed?
>Bad news if you were hoping some PO'd oligarch would put a bullet in Putin's head and end this whole thing
I mean its still possible if unlikely, Stalin was, maybe, poisoned too
They were correct (career US fighter fixer here). The second engine can get you home for repairs and there are no good divert locations in that frozen hell.
Fascinating.
It's not exactly wrong, and while the power system in Russia is more or less feudalistic, the same problems of revolution and assassination existed in those times as well.
That's why playing with the economy is so dangerous here; the government means nothing if it doesn't provide for the people. I sincerely doubt the FSB is all that effective if people are openly demonstrating against the war.
That's great, but Russia is still losing the war.
I should also point out that the siege mentality they possess isn't unique to Russians; there's a reason why people in the US get obsessed with walls and "invading" immigrants. It's basic cult behavior 101 - people are more malleable when they believe they're threatened.
Currently watchingin x2 speed, interesting lecture, well thought out. Thanks user.
I did notice the similarity. The lying or "tactical truth" thing also sounds a lot like taqiya (hey, Mongols again), equivocation, or the way evangelism works in general.
i drifted off and it sounded like brazilian portugese
>Bad news if you were hoping some PO'd oligarch would put a bullet in Putin's head and end this whole thing.
Meh, it's not unheard of in Russia.
>there's a reason why people in the US get obsessed with walls and "invading" immigrants. It's basic cult behavior 101 - people are more malleable when they believe they're threatened.
truly retard hot take
See? See how they behave?
It's really good. But also terrifying, because it makes it clear that Russians (or slavs?) will always be a threat to world peace, if left to their own devices. A victim complex down to the genetic level, only accepting strongmen dictators as leaders and an ability to lie without shame and then even honestly believing their own lies.
Yeah, the Russians legit believe they are on a mission to save the world from whatever enemy they conjured up this time. And they think it's okay to destroy Europe, in order to save it. Coupled with a natural gravitation towards dictatorship, and it becomes clear why Russia in this form simply cannot be allowed to exist.
There is a big difference. Americans are fine with retreating into isolationism. Yes, outsiders can be seen as a threat more often than not, but the response usually is "build a wall" and not "invade a neighbor and turn him into a buffer puppet state". Russia invents an enemy (fascists, monarchists, democracy, fascists again, muslims, western pop culture) and does not ask "how can we protect ourselves from them?" but "How can we murder them before they inevitably murder us?".
This will never end. Once Ukraine is done, it's Moldavia. Then Poland. Then Germany. Of course "the anglos" must be removed at some point too. Eventually India and China too, all enemies! If western nations are build on shared wealth (albeit unfairly shared), then Russian or slavic nations are build on "They have wronged us / will wrong us!". Look at Poland. They still until recently asked Germany for WW2 war reps and bring that topic up every time a polish politician needs votes.
NASAMS ER (really a land-based ESSM Blk 2) looks really promising. ESSM weighs 600lb+ vs. the AMRAAM's 300lb+, though; I'm not sure if that would detrimentally affect which vehicles could carry it.
For a heavy-weight SAM, I'd love to see if a ground-launched version of the SM-6 could be developed. It's even heavier (3300lb), but has S-300 range (300km+).
wow you sure proved him wrong
get some therapy for that victim complex
Aren't there more than a few parallels to Imperial Japan? Thankfully, Russians don't seem to be *quite* as willing to die for the Tsar, even as they glorify those other poor guys who do...
It's less that they want to die for the Tsar, but that they don't care or have accepted their place in society and are just fulfilling their duty.
>only accepting strongmen dictators
>ability to lie without shame and then even honestly believing their own lies
Doesn't sound very dissimilar compared to arabs
This is probably a good place to bring up a Zeihan video. Practically any of them from literally the last 10 years will do.
Here's a snippet that really covers the heart of the matter: youtube.com
>Yes, outsiders can be seen as a threat more often than not, but the response usually is "build a wall" and not "invade a neighbor and turn him into a buffer puppet state".
But that's precisely what America did for decades user
Suihkuun, nukkumaan ja huomenna töihin.
Kill them all
If America behaved like Russia, they would deal with illegal immigration on the Mexican border by invading Mexico, installing a puppet regime in Mexico City, turning the Mexico-USA border into a deathtrap outside of existing checkpoints, and grab Baja California in the process since the opportunity to take it was available. And that's after creating, funding, and arming bogus "independence movements" in northern Mexico that would be meant to destabilize the area near the Mexico-USA border enough to discourage illegal immigrants from trying to travel through northern Mexico
Because they're not backwards states that only exist to be pillaged by the kleptocrats in charge?
Fucking hell I wish we had lectures like this over here. Something similar but of China is extremely needed, if not now then very soon.
American here. It sounds like an evolved version of Spanish without the retarded sounding inflections and more sophisticated vowels.
>If America behaved like Russia
I'm not sure where your knowledge of Russian politics is from, but Putin is more pro-illegal than the biggest cuckolds at the DNC.
It feels like a cross between a canary and a woodpecker: constantly fluttering, hopping, and pecking, small but hyperactive. It's nice.
I watched the whole thing in a span of two days.
Here's a summary:
>Mongols captured Russia and raped them a lot so Russians turned into bitter liars that need a big strong daddy emperor who controls the chaos
>Russians live in a flat area that is easy to conquer, making them paranoid and afraid of invasion. Hitler, Napoleon, Sweden.
>As a result, they are imperialistic, but unlike the USA which desires resources, they are imperialistic as a result of fear: they are afraid of being conquered
>Russia is more or less the same ever since in both mentality and governance, Putin is the infallible Tsar, he grows his own princes, and all the mistakes are committed by the "boyars" or governors/low ranked officials
>The higher you go in Russian society, the more you are allowed to be corrupt, you can steal more, but not too much, you can steal from more people, but if you steal from people you are not allowed to you will be fucked.
>Russia will continue to stay the same in the future, they have been like this for many centuries.
Democracy requires honest discourse and transparency, as well as some manner of trust. Russian mentality goes against it in every way.
Based on this lecture, it seems that there can be no true peace with them, you're either an enemy or a vassal state, I hope the sanctions don't go away and I hope they will crumble into darkness.
>you're either an enemy or a vassal state
“The jealous and intolerant eye of the Kremlin can distinguish, in the end, only vassals and enemies, and the neighbors of Russia, if they do not wish to be one, must reconcile themselves to being the other.”
― George F. Kennan
>Mongols captured Russia and raped them a lot so Russians turned into bitter liars that need a big strong daddy emperor who controls the chaos
bit of an oversimplification, his point was that the russian population has been on under tyrannical and oppressive rulers for the last thousand years from genghis khan to their own czars to stalin and putin so the russians learned to cope with them by lying, stealing and cheating in order to survive
i'm also surprised that he didn't really directly mention that russian culture has a hierarchy of abuse and someone is ALWAYS abused by someone stronger and in turn they find someone weaker to abuse and it's a neverending circle
>i'm also surprised that he didn't really directly mention that russian culture has a hierarchy of abuse and someone is ALWAYS abused by someone stronger and in turn they find someone weaker to abuse and it's a neverending circle
I mean, this is just another aspect of the overall culture of corruption, unwritten rules and pecking order that he describes.
Already seen it, was interesting to watch. Explains a lot about what's currently wrong with Russia.
>currently
Literally since the start
>Democracy requires honest discourse and transparency
umm, no
Different user but I mean, it definitely does for it to function well. Otherwise it'll degrade. That degradation is on display to varying degrees all over the western world right now, perhaps nowhere as strikingly as in the US. It worries me.
America did quite literally snatch up more than half of Mexico in a war.
Nigger, Russian Republic is full of illegal migrants from caucasian and asiatic parts of RF. Oligarchs profits form their cheap labour and police/administration profits from bribes to not enforce federal law and deport them. This is very similar system as in US, except with less small time boomer businesses that hire the illegals, because all is owned by oligarchy and state. And that state companies exists to enrich military higher ups and FSb glowniggers that run them.
Lack of honesty and transparency is what makes democratic process in US rather endangered at the moment. Whole thing has gone off into more polarized bullshit in 'murrica in recent two decades. You are with us or against us and opposing things because whoever says it. If you are republican and some democrat for some reason actually suggests a good policy, you must oppose it because it came from a democrat and other way around.
>If you are republican and some democrat for some reason actually suggests a good policy, you must oppose it because it came from a democrat and other way around.
God how I hate this garbage, all I want is for people to make logical decisions based on their own beliefs and ideology, and not just picking a side due to group mentality. I wonder if it is more prevalent nowadays than before or if it just feels like that.
Anyone have more lections from intel officers, maybe from the OP fin or some other guys? This is very interesting
It is way more prevalent than it was in 90's or 80's. As much as other side may shit on Clinton or Reagan, they were willing to make compromises with the other side of isle. It has gotten worse since George W Bush, picking up even more once Obama got elected and when Trump got elected it got even worse. Biden certainly hasn't even tried to actually improve anything in this regards. Things might be just as bad as those were in late 60's and early 70's.
What is worse is because US dominance in media, same bullshit is spreading in rest of western world. What happens in America, rest of the west tend to follow in some localized way with some delay.
Reality is that democracy requires trust. If you are making a compromise, you need to be able to trust that the other side will hold their end of bargain in some other policy. Without honest discourse and transparency there cannot be trust. This where similarities with political polarization in west and Russian way of doing things meet. Tactical lies and intentional misrepresentation truth destroys trust.
>all I want is for people to make logical decisions based on their own beliefs and ideology, and not just picking a side due to group mentality.
Humans don't do that. It's literally irrational to expect otherwise.
short version
Latvian here - this is incredibly accurate and here in Latvia we can observe the Narodnost's behavior directly through the Russian minority. Yes, 80% of the Russian population, both in and out of Russia, receives their information directly fitlered by the Kremlin. Just today waiting at the bus stop some babushka was watching absolute insane shit about the Ukrainian conflict in Russian on her phone. Russians are a 5th column everywhere because historical PTSD has forced them to see an enemy everywhere.
Are there Russian-language alternatives to the shit coming directly from the Kremlin? Over here in Finland, one of the smarter things the national media company did was starting a news service in Russian back in 2013 after we got hard by disinformation campaigns.
Most shit is translated to Russian, but the internet age means that russoids can just get a direct link to their brainwashing reaffirmation channels.
It absolutely does. If no one knows what they're voting for or no one believes that their vote does anything, democracy stops working.

JANNIES TONGUE MY ANUS
Jannies. Jannies never change. End of the thread occurred pretty much as we had predicted. The details are trivial and pointless, the reasons, as always, purely butthurt ones.
