You Germans are the original mutts. Get your DNA checked there's probably a Pole in there somewhere. What's to deal with? My lands weren't carved up, Your sausage factory in Tanganyika gone, Prussia gone, and Alsace-Lorraine gone. Your incestous Austrian inbred's body nowhere to be found. Franco will forever and ever be better.
Once Oil goes 150$ and gas 3500+$ and economy starts receding, people will cling to their identity and ideals to survive the reality.
Then it's all about protecting minorities from g*rmification and globohomo fanaticism

>European here, are we actually kidding in Ukraine? Is Russia actually winning? Kidding? No Ukraine would have blocked Russia from the Black Sea and finished the process that started in 1997 with the incorporation of eastern countries into Europe, meaning that in 30 years Russia would have demonstrated an absolute inhability to outcompete Europe in selling an unification project.
Russia has been winning since the beginning, probably not as much as they should but they have.

My theory on why the international order is failing, or, how a beer bottle inserted into the anus of a serb farmer will bring about the end of the world ######################################################################################################################### by Anonymous
PART 1
I was perusing the Guradian today and came across the following article which set my mind working
The article posits that the post war international order has been placed under threat by repeated and essentially corrupt regard for international law. One of the inviolabile aspects of international law is the structural and territorial integrity of nation states - in short one may not redraw international boundaries by force or coertion. If you were to invade a country, under international law, you would have to leave that country intact when peace returns. You don't get to keep bits of the country for yourself.
The article considers the Trump administrations recognition of Morocco's annexation of Western Sahara and Israels annexation of the Golan. The USA became the only country in the world to recognise both of these violent siezures. And, although the Trump administration has disappeared, the Biden administration has not reversed these positions. Various legal commentators have noted that the recognition of these annexations represent a “significant departure from the bedrock legal prohibition of unilateral annexation.” Yale Law School’s Oona Hathaway called the move “outrageous and potentially destabilizing to the postwar international order.” The Russian government called it an “indication of the contempt that Washington shows for the norms of international law.”
Should Russia prevail in Ukraine, as it seems likely that they will, their victory might lead to the annexation of the breakaway regions in the east. It could be argued that Russia will simply point to the USA's recognition of the aforementioned annexations to justify the legality of it's own move. The only dissent within the American legislative branch was from Senator Durbin, who said that “I don’t think the administration is thinking clearly about how this ends well.” He was right.
I think however, that these examples are far too recent to allow us to understand the full depth and breadth of the corruption and undermining of the post war interantional order.
For me it all begins earlier, in the 1990's. Afterall, it was the 90's that led to the disintegration of Yougoslavia, the theft of Kosovo from Serbia via referndum. In return Russia used the same pretext to rob the Ukraine of Crimea - by the same mechanisms - first force and then a referendum, followed by annexation. Yougoslavia itself fell apart because of a rising Serbian nationalism that fed off of a number of incidents in which Serbs were presented as vicitims of the savagry of their countrymen of other ethnicities. Immediately, the Đorđe Martinović incident sprang to mind (see en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Đorđe_Martinović_incident). This incident occured when a serbian farmer masturbated in a field with a stick mounted 500ml beer bottle rammed up his own anus. Unfortunately, due to the vigour with which he masturbated, the bottle broke and this led to his hospitalisation. He claimed that the bottle had been inserted into his anus by Albanians. His version was dismissed by both police and security service investigators until Serbian nationalists took up his cause. They used the incident to eventually change the Yougoslav constitution in favour of Serbia and Serbs.

He would support the german people and the anschluss and an Europe united only by and through Germany, the past or current state of the country at the momment would have meant nothing.

Part 3
It was this action by the nationalists that set off the war that eventually led to both the dissolution of Yougoslavia and the siezure of Kosovo, which led to the annexation of Crimea. When Trump recognised further annexations, as already discussed, it laid the groundwork for the annexation of eastern Ukraine.
It's both sobering and hillarious to think that not only did a single incident of beer bottle masturbation lead to the collapse of Yougoslavia - it might lead to an all out nuclear war.
