I'm not necessarily implying that the invasion of Ukraine was organized, but a bloodless overthrow would have been beneficial for all three major world blocs a la "1984." Russian morale would have significantly improved, Putin could justify his reign for another umpteen years, and economic opportunities for oligarchs would arise from the "Russification" of the former Ukraine after a token period of sanctions from the West. The United States and its allies could justify increased military spending on NATO after Trump's attempts to dismantle it, bolstering kickbacks from the defense industry, and the Biden administration could cleanly wipe away both COVID fearmongering and the sketchy shit their cronies did in Ukraine before the midterms. China would have had precedent for an unopposed invasion of Taiwan. The Ukranians putting up any sort of resistance has made these angles of propaganda a bit tougher for the masses to swallow.
Say what you want about the Zelinsky government, but successful Ukranian resistance is the best argument for cultural/ethnic nationalism that has happened in Europe for years. Anybody shilling for Russia doesn't realize that Putin is a globalist like everybody else; he just applies its doctrine in different ways for his own benefit.
