obviously, to defend nato countries nato'd own army bases are the first priority of defense but how would that thing get to croatia without flying dangerously near both nato bases and big cities.

of course, that thing is 7 tons and designed to carry anchient soviet avionics + big optical and imaging systems. probably has a patload capacity in the hundreds of kg. replace it with modern avionics that weight 1/10 of the old shit and you can have tons of space and weight for nukes. remember an american W76 is only like 100kg, russians probably have lots of nukes around the 100kg-500kg range that can fit in it
