When I attended secondary school -- or high school if you're a fag -- there were a number of days throughout the school year called 'non-uniform-day', were, as you probably guessed, students attended school in their normal attire. For some reason, our greedy-ass principal introduced a fee (£2) to wear your own clothes on these days. Suffice to say, no one ever paid it, and the charge was promptly scrapped. Our principle was Jewish. Which of course was purely coincidental.

We had uniforms because we had a lot of blacks and spics and strict guidelines are the only way to get them to dress appropriately. It was just slacks and solid-colored collared shirts tucked in. Girls could wear skirts but they had to be past the knees. Some people always complained but I liked it because I didn't have to worry about all the stupid fashion bullshit teenagers get into.
