The media even went out of their way to make the focal point of the call about the "Fuck the EU!" line which was an obvious attempt at diversion, since it was empty information.
When you go to reddit or any other normalfag forum, most people only talk about that particular line. It's sad and frustrating.
I am not saying that this justifies the invasion or anything, but people hype this military conflict up to be "EVIL RUSSIA VS. BENEVOLENT WEST", when everyone is just a scumbag playing subversive games on the global stage.
That's what Putin wanted, but Putin's actions in influencing Ukraine's government were infinitely tamer.
He offered them financial incentives, while the US straight up caused or intervened in a revolution to take down the head of government and enact western-aligned interests.
