Work at a major grocery store on the east coast. talked to some colleagues at other chains today such as Wal Mart and Superstore.
Almost every grocery store has no extra stock other than what is on shelves at the moment, we're missing shipments and they're blaming it on the war in Ukraine. Not sure when stock will be back to normal but you should stock up now before this breaks tomorrow. There will be panic buying.

Pretty much everything that is essential. Toilet paper, fresh meat and fish, pet food and litter and more. People are whispering in hushed tones about a major food shortage incoming. Prices were already skyrocketing too, but that's partly because there's such a strain on supply post-covid.

It's getting bad here too. $100 barely gets you groceries for a week anymore for 1 person. We have bad housing insecurity here too, the market boom of 2018-2021 put the local market in total disarray, homelessness skyrocketed. Before 2015 there were no homeless here.

There was always going to be a major food shortage. Check 4plebs, I've been posting since last March. A great number of farmers were forced to downsize because working at capacity meant they would lose money because of the way the ag commodity market entirely disconnected from reality during coof. If somehow the farm economics situation changed it would still take at least a season to undo the pending crop shortage caused by this. Livestock... you can't just put seeds in the ground and get a repopulated herd. I personally know people that cut their cattle herds down to 20%.
I work in the walmart supplychain. There are pantry items that haven been delivered in a while, and some delays on fresh produce, but nothing to be worried about.

I work in the fresh/frozen warehouse for western canada. We're doing fine.
supply chain shortages are too anecdotal, it's impossible to tell if something is caused by a Habbening or if Brother & Sons Cream Cheese co. is running late from a flat tire.
