Sadly no. A timber frame lasts centuries under relatively proper maintenance. However North Americans have adopted fast food tier building practices since the end of WW2. It’s in demand for rich guys who can pay the premiums and they look amazing. But it’s all plywood and shitty bent sticks from here on out to (((maximize))) profit and speed.
