Liberals are very mad about this. Ukraine is in Europe, it makes sense that European countries would welcome their refugees. Syria is in the Middle East so it would make sense for their middle eastern neighbors to accept Syrian refugees.

If anything has been proven in Syria and Ukraine, it's that war is a really quick way to get rid of a lot of people. Maybe a few thousand have died in Ukraine and yet a huge chunk of the population is leaving.
