Green energy is ineffective and not even tenable in every state. I live in Alaska how the fuck do we use solar energy when it’s dark the majority of the day in winter? How do we drive 450 miles from point a to b in an electric car when there’s nowhere to stop and nowhere to charge how do we have electric cars when it’s too cold for what the batteries are even rated for?

That's just a blatant falsehood. Energy indepedenance alone would not keep US prices low. Increased worldwide demand of oil would drive prices in an energy-independant US too because the companies producing in the US would have to justify selling at home and not export for profit in the now high-demand rest of the world. You'd need to be energy independant and make laws about capping prices/limit exports.
