Canada has a strong hunting community and a growing gun rights movement.
The liberal government is trying to stamp it out with ridiculous regulations, and they're being taken to court. Judge asked them for the evidence they used in a recent wave of gun bans and the government ran through every hoop saying they couldn't provide the info. At the end of the day they said the public safety information was a national security secret. We don't know for certain but a lot of people suspect that the judge will make an adverse judgement from their obvious ploy to hide the fact that they don't have any evidence that any gun bans are effective public safety tools. If we're really lucky (we won't be), the judge will rule that firearm bans without evidence are unconstitutional.
