Sanctioning Russia means they do not get the money on raw energy. But not getting said energy means not getting the money on the added value.

Russia isn't really feeling the hit from these sanctions. They lost... netflix and tiktok and mcdonalds. They're still getting money for their oil and gas, they're still exporting their wheat and fertilizer. India and China are still manufacturing goods and trading them to Russia.
The west is completely impotent and the sanctions have only served to show the entire world how globohomo behaves and operates and what would happen to them and their countries in the future. Everything he's doing is about controlling the energy markets and impressing on Romania to not try exporting its Black Sea LNG and Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia were all getting ready to exploit gas and oil fields within the Baltic Sea.
Ukraine cut itself off from Russian oil and gas after Crimea, they were almost ready to begin exporting oil and gas into Europe. Putin can't have that and he can't have the former Soviet states as competitors.
