The only reason liberals give a shit about the invasion of Ukraine is because of the 2016 election. They’re convinced Russia is the reason they had to live through the Trump administration, which they sincerely believe was hell on earth, and so they have an axe to grind against Russia. It’s why the sanctions are so severe. It’s why there’s so much vitriol against Russian people and culture, not just the leadership. It’s why they’re so eager to skyrocket our cost of living to spite Russia. It has nothing to do with sovereignty (they didn’t say anything during the 2008 invasion of Georgia or the 2014 annexation of Crimea). It’s a purely personal grudge being projected on the entire world population. These people are deranged.
I've explained my theory many times in many threads for years. My belief is that since the modern world abandoned God the Bible is no longer the common repository of knowledge and story that it once was. There was a time when everyone, even the uneducated, knew all the stories of the Bible and applied it to their life and the world they lived in. In the godless age it's whatever bullshit fiction is popular in culture like Harry Potter or Star Wars or some such drivel.
Basically the western canon has discarded the Bible and replaced it with nonsense.
