Let's speak hypothetically.
Let's say Ukraine surrenders tomorrow and Russia now controls the entire country.
What's next? Do you just annex it? It's now a wartorn mud hole with a population that hates you. Do you install a puppet? You'd have to have a permanent garrison there to help quell the inevitable uprisings that are now equipped with western weapons. It's the Soviets in Afghanistan all over again.
The only reasonable thing I can think of is force the Government to sign a new treaty enforcing neutrality and an arms limit, but even then it's not enforceable without Russian troops occupying the country or risking another invasion. So I'm really stumped as to what the goal here is. It seems to have backfired, with NATO having renewed life and a common enemy to focus on.
Let's speak hypothetically
Russia = anti NWO
WOW BASTE AS FUCK
BOMB MORE WHITE PEOPLE PUTIN
Hm, something tells me that's not exactly the case.
Balkanization.
South ossetia, Abkhazia, Lugantsk, Donetsk, Crimea...notice a pattern?
THe obvious answer is to divide ukraine into 5-7 countries then puppet some, contain others. Kiev would remain hostile but it won't matter, the future city state of kiev will be surrounded by russian puppets states.
This is how Empires are set up.
>white
lmao
Puppet states don't work without a military capable of keeping the peace. Ukrainians aren't going to be signing up in drives to protect the new government, so that's a task for the Russian army and it seems they aren't to keen on the idea either.
DAT ASSSSZZZ THO
>Government to sign a new treaty enforcing neutrality
>sign a new treaty
>treaty
>The only reasonable thing I can think of is force the Government to sign a new treaty enforcing neutrality and an arms limit
They just gave this peace term to ukraine like yesterday with those exact terms. Its more enforceable than you think. Ukrainian govt might be retarded but they dont have the backbone to initiate a second invasion of their country over violating the peace treaty they signed.
Basically they disarm ukraine, and if the hohols start to rearm against the treaty you now have a mostly disarmed ukraine to invade and impose harsher terms on.
It would be just like Poland after World War II. They would kill any opposition, saboteurs and protesters. They would install their people in power and everyone would live happily after.
Are Weapons of Ass Destruction a crime against humanity?
Historians will have an interesting time putting together the series of events that led to this entire fiasco.
>If putins goal was to get threats off his doorstep
it backfired hard. now lots of nations are rebuilding their military infrastructure to deter Russian aggression.
>If Russian policymakers have been drinking their own propaganda kool-aid.
What was there best case scenario here? even in their deepest delusions? did they expect to be hailed as heroes by the average ukrainian? did they expect the people to oust their own government? very tough to discern.
Russia basically started a vietnam that nobody really expected until early 2021.
There are now 4 million Ukrainians in Russia, eager to get back to Ukraine and set up a new power structure.
Ukraine isnt a white nation, faggot
Is not. the NWO want to leave the west completely economically crippled. then let its white population go extinct by famine, disease and under replacement level of births.
Is there even a clear frontline? I'd assume russia would annex donbass and secure crimea and then the ukrainians have whatever else they want.
Assie McGee wants to ass you a question.
i think the plan is to take the country and expell interlopers, its going to be a buffer zone and staging area. well see how comfy europe is with army bases and missle silos in the ukraine.
keep in mind this isnt and cant even be considered when nato is already taking military action on a battleground in fucken easter europe/aisa. even them supporting russia is pushing us to a nuclear brink. putin hasnt been overthrown and russia still has allies, ask yourself why? is everyone stupid? or do they know something you dont?
we will pay for the rebuilding nobody asked for with our taxes
If those FSB leaks are to be believed, yes it seems nobody but Putin expected this war. This coincides with what several captured troops are saying as well.
>Russia basically started a vietnam
>12 days in.
Yeah, but no. Ukraine will be cut to pieces and annexed over time.
As for NATO, ukraine is worth 10 eastern european countries. Doesn't matter how much equipment US sends to it's eastern european puppets, none of them can match the value of not having ukraine in nato.
I see one, maybe two non-whites a month and I go outside every day
They've already hinted at this, themselves.
Man, war has always been hell but at least people who fought with swords and pikes didn't have to worry about being reduced to a severed ass.
imma ass your butt a cocky question fag.
I'm going to be honest, Ivan.
I really don't think Russia can afford to rebuild Ukraine. Especially with an actively hostile population.
The hostiles are leaving in droves to syphon off german welfare. Those that stay will end up in siberia.
You go outside everyday? Haha UA so poor.
I don't think those are future puppet area's. Those borders match the Ukrainian military command zones.
lol nobody think like we could afford that
Doubt.
It would have made much more sense for Russia just to occupy Luhansk and Donbas. That initial move was very smart and should not have gone further yet.
Yeah that would have been prooobably ignored by the west.
If the living conditions are not drastically worse, then I don't see any reason why your average ukrainian who has a family and a job would revolt. Your average sheep won't care who sits on the throne.
> Do you annex it?
No, too expensive, and requires too much man power. They learned their lesson in Afghanistan.
> Do you install a puppet?
This is a possibility, and has worked surprisingly well in the past. This is in fact how almost every invasion ends. I would guess in order to make it legitimate they would need to make it seem like the Ukrainian people got fed up with the war and overthrew their own government.
What will more likely happen is that Russia will have some demands about Ukraine becoming a loose federation of states, which will give the Russian majority areas more power (possibly even veto power) over government decision making, which will of course give Russia more power.
>You'd have to have a permanent garrison there to help quell the inevitable uprisings that are now equipped with western weapons
Not sure if this is true. With enough repression, and assuming they let the western bit be independent, they might be able to subdue and Russify the east. Might not need to crack down too hard in most places either. They've made an effort to treat civilians fairly well. Regardless with enough repression, people usually just give in. That didn't happen in Afghanistan because America believes in human rights at least to some extent. Way more brutal measures could have been taken, like simply slaughtering whole towns and villages suspected of even being sympathetic to the Taliban. Not sure what lengths Putin is willing to go to.
That's what a lot of people thought, but the large numbers of militia and partisans speak otherwise. Ukies don't seem keen on Russian occupation.
The front is very fluid. Russia is mostly sticking to major roads and small towns. This has so far been a detriment as no infantry seem to be clearing out obvious ambush points, and Russian logistics and armored vehicles have paid for it.
I am inclined to believe them. I think there is evidence to back up things mentioned. Like how Russia wasn't prepared for the level of sanctions it's now facing or that entire divisions are cut off from communications into moscow (this would explain why ceasefires and corridors can't hold up for very long.)
Crimea and Donetsk are easy to annex. A lot of those people identified as Russian and felt they would have had greater economic opportunity as Russians rather than as Ukrainians.
However, if you tell those same people that soon they will get to be EU citizens then their opinions may change quickly.
I think Putins hands were forced when he saw how the Ukrainians were using COVID to buy themselves time to modernize their military. I think that Moscow felt like the situation in Ukraine was getting to be very "Now or Never" for them.
