When did atheism stop being cool on the internet?

Back when I first became old enough to start using the internet regularly (around 2008 or so, yes i'm a newfag I know) it was especially trendy to be a religion-hating, bible-bashing, loudmouthed edgelord, and let the whole world know. Everywhere you went, from Youtube comment sections to Reddit posts to Any Forums threads, it seemed everyone had a hate-boner for religion, especially Christianity. The Youtube scene was dominated by fedora tippers like The Amazing Atheist and Jaclyn Glenn, r/atheism was one of the most popular subreddits, fourms and comment sections were flooded with religious flame-wars, and mentioning that you were anything less than an antitheist who was intolerant of anything religious would have gotten you attacked by edgy trolls.
All this kinda went away around 2014 or so. Whether it was the dawn of the internet's political scene and the birth of the "SJW/Alt Right" trend (which has also died down) or the "tips fedora" meme, I can't say for certain. Either way, nobody cares about enlightened youtubers or pseudo intellectual douchebag redditors anymore, and I haven't seen a religious argument as opposed to a political one in ages. In some circles, like Nick Fuentes fanboys, it almost seems edgy and cool to be a radical creationist Christian, though it's most likely larp, but the tables seem to have turned.
I always attributed the edgy atheist phase of internet culture to 9/11/war on terror still being a recent memory (doesn't explain why Christianity was the primary target as opposed to Islam though) but it most likely had it's origins in the 80s/90s with the satanic panic/metal bands that were popular at the time. But I want to know what the tipoing point of the end was: when and why did atheism stop being cool on the internet?

Since /r/atheism collapsed onto itself thanks to aalewis.
Now Christcucks head the insufferable religiontard niche.

Yea they got utterly blown the fuck out.
Now they know there is God.
They just hate him instead of denying or whatever they were up to previously.
