To what degree do corporations have the authority to take politically-motivated actions against foreign states...

To what degree do corporations have the authority to take politically-motivated actions against foreign states? Isn't it very nearly treasonous for American companies to play at foreign policy and wage economic warfare? Obviously Adidas is not the prime example here.

What are they wearing in winter? Surely this can only be the Gopnik summer attire, right?

Adidas from Turkey and Egypt

Based and slavchic pilled

It's a violation of their fiduciary duty. A publicly-traded corporation's duty is the maximize profit for its' shareholders. Period.

It's not for the public good or to benefit stakeholders or to make a more equitable world or any of that horseshit. That's just marketing.

The problem it, the shareholders aren't right wing capitalists. The shareholders are weasels like BlackRock or Vanguard who manage people's mutual funds. Or endowment managers with universities. Or the managers of large, public employee retirement programs in places like NY and CA.

Even if individual shareholders did exercise their voting ability, it'd be 70/30 in favor of giving up profits to support this CNN narrative.

Private Cos can deal with (or not) whoever the fuck they like. And when their alternative is dealing with Russians, or running the risk of getting boycotted by their entire rest-Western customer base? They are going to drop the Russians. Its really just a case of, stop invading sovereign European countries and wholesale murder of their citizens on random pretext, then, most Cos happy to deal with you.

>To what degree do corporations have the authority to take politically-motivated actions against foreign states?
