It's weird how westerners accuse Russia of violating Ukrainian sovereignty but at the same time try to undermine China's sovereignty by supporting Taiwan independence.

kek

Not really. It's called the right to self determination and is a keystone of the post WWII international order.

i.e. The people who live in an area decide who governs them. Ukraine wants to be independent, Taiwan wants to be independent. It's not complicated.

it's weird how westerners insist on self-determination and then call russia evil for supporting separatists

Ukraine should have given them a referendum on joining Russia.

That doesn't really justify this war, killing thousands and dropping half the VDV in the drink does it?

So Crimea is Russian? And Donbass is Russian?
Also the rest of Ukraine is about to become Russia because they'll just kill everyone who is against it's self determination as Russia

youtube.com/watch?v=4inx6EDjzjE

>people of Catalan want to be independent
>police brutality beat everyone
>throw in jail politician behind independent movement
>EU, NATO, US clap their hands and nods in approve

If most of the people there want to be then yes.

Crimea had way more support from both Russians and Crimean's because they did see themselves as Russian. Hence why that wasn't a total fucking shit tornado.

>That doesn't really justify this war
eh, it kinda does
ukraine had 8 years to find a peaceful solution and they chose violence
between that and deliberately causing a drought in crimea, the kiev government has more than earned a hostile takeover

That's funny coming from a nip, in the words of George Carlin "here's your rights, right this way"
>Right into a Japanese internment camp

So the way to send sectarian violence is with more violence and the deaths of more young Russian and Ukrainian men and women?

Trips of truth.

Good night.

literally yes
if not for the invasion, how many more years would crimea have waited for water? how many more years would the killing continue in donbas? peaceful solutions only work as long as both sides actually want a solution. ukraine didn't and now is paying the price.

Then why do they want to violate China's self determination by advocating for Taiwan to secede from China?

Taiwan is a part of China and most Chinese people want Taiwan to remain a part of China. This is not a difficult concept.

Violence is the based and ultimate solution.

it’s literally just IRL pressing the claim of dejure territory

>great power (monkey manlet) spreads prestige and money to press claim on Black Sea territory

>President Xi presses claim shortly on Taiwan

Fuck geopolitics but if somebody has to make everything a heckin’ map painting Paradox game then it’s gonna be me

>Sectarian
Aren't Ukrainians and Russians the same religion, Christian Orthodox?

madrid ignored the catalan vote for indepence while EU blocked it

>The referendum question, which voters answered with "Yes" or "No", was "Do you want Catalonia to become an independent state in the form of a republic?". The "Yes" side won, with 2,044,038 (90.18%) voting for independence and 177,547 (7.83%) voting against, on a turnout of 43.03%.
