I believe in God through His word. His word says that He is the expression of selfless love. He has nothing to gain from our obedience like what religion would wants us to believe. Jesus died for us while we were still sinners. People who will spend their eternity separated from God died believing in themselves and not in God through Jesus/His word, they died believing that God hates them or that they're unsaved.
