I quite enjoy the second paragraph that you posted there. It amounts to thumbing your nose at the consumer and essentially saying we don't care, we're going to fill it with black people because black people exist and we have to put them into everything or else they will shriek and burn down McDonald's.
In essence that's what it comes down to they just don't care. Sure they might try to make some silly arguments here or there, but in the end they just don't care they don't respect Tolkien or his work or his fans because they don't respect Europeans or Europe or the concept of European people.
