JDAMs (the US guided bomb that uses GPS) is "only" 30k USD including the bomb its mounted on, and they pay for themselves because it means you get to use far fewer bombs for the same amount of material destroyed. And that's not even including the fact that you'll lose fewer aircraft, since they can be dropped from the stratosphere, and from that height they can do some really nasty things like hitting something BEHIND the bombing aircraft.

Absolutely, they're still using regular dumb bombs at the end of the day. The whole point of GPS bombs is that you can nuke stuff from the stratosphere, you don't even have to be pointing at the target.
