GATE and Think Tanks

The gifted and talented programs in America were in part onboarding for think tank groups. Much of the pull-out classes were actually unpaid think tank work. If you are too anti authority they burned you out, and you ended up here. Use this thread to discuss the implications of this including but not limited to: the ethics of pull-out classes being unwitting and unpaid child labor, the use of children as policy makers by proxy, and the fact that this board also functions as a decentralized unpaid think tank.

I used to be a food tester for Uncle Ben's as a child. They would put us in this room with gray walls and one of the walls was a giant full height one way mirror. They paid me $30/week when I was like 8 which was a lot to me. That was until they decided to test their "chicken nuggets". I told them their chicken nuggets tasted like dog shit because they were microwaved, and everyone knows microwaved tendies taste like shit.

How did you come to these conclusions?

Wasn't in any program, but openly hated school, never showed up. Didn't take it seriously at all. It was all boring. Corrected teachers, etc.
