I looked up Kali Yuga a while ago. Apparently it started like 3000 years ago and has another 27000 years to go. Buckle up.

General scholarly consensus is that the Kali Yuga started ~5,000 years ago and thus we still have around 427,000 years left for things to get increasingly worse with every passing second.

I’m really happy to see a couple of posts about there actually being approx. 427,000 years of Kali Yuga remaining since it lasts 432,000 and we are roughly 5,000 into it, I would just like to add that the Kali of Kali Yuga is not Goddess Kali (pronounced Collie) but is rather named for a black skinned demon named Kali (pronounced Kullee).

you do know that each Kalpa is mathematiclaly significant and that Kaali Yuga is preceded by Treta, Dvapara and Satya Yugas? Each age reduces in size in terms of the years, Kali is 432000 years long and it started when Krishna died and Dvaraka sunk beneath the waves.
