>bogged

Probably moving slowly to avoid massive casualties from the thousands of ATGMs that Ukraine was given by NATO countries.

Probably also lack of cohesion, bad logistics, poor planning, and outdated/neglected machinery, equipment, and supplies.

the plan is to take the east donbas area and the area around the black sea where the oil and gas are.
the Kyiv encirclement is just a barging chip for the coming negotiations.

THEY FLOODED CRIMEA?

>lets just give all the empty bits of land to Ukraine even if its clearly behind Russian lines
this map is such a giga cope

some russkie finland stuff

What is their endgame?

Their initial plan failed so they just dump all of their forces to surround Kyiv.

capcha:nsgrs

Would make sense if Russians had not committed 70% of their army into this shit. Gains in the East are slow, isn't it better to ditch Northern offensive and concentrate on land you actually need?
Regardless, get fucked vatniks.

Putin gave them 2 days to end the war and now they're snaking across Ukraine.

fixing their supply lines and getting things in order for bigger operations

snib :D

They said is a fucking operation. What don't you get?

It's a typical military procedure - attack from the North, South and East. The South is to control the ports, the East is to support the Donbas region which is soon to be protected by Russia and the North is to get those bastards in Kiev. Those long lines are obviously the trails the Russians have come through, mostly on their way to Kiev.

Arrrrghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I hate you propaganda niggers. WHAT NOW?

its funny - they presented in the media that they were going to help Donetsk/Luhansk, and 0% succes so far... :-D

They're in the middle of the rasputiza. The whole eastern Ukraine is full of mud and you can't really start any good offensives that way.

>get lost
>run out of fuel
>rob a market
>gypsy steals your BMP

if you noticed the forces that came from Belarus don't really have a mission or objectives, they just sit there and attract the Ukrainian attention.
the forces that came from Russia are gives a good fight and they actually have objectives.

It looks like they're encircling ukrainians.

Just taking their time. By the time they win everybody will be so bored they won't care anymore.

I think they want :
• to annex the two Russian-majority provinces that voted for separation
• protect the ethnic/cultural Russians in those provinces from reprisals
• stop cross-border attacks
• secure a steady water source for Crimean naval bases/cities
• send a message to Ukraine to never to join NATO.

>What the fuck is Russia doing?
demilitarization of Russia - in the end they will have only light infantry, something like Germany after WWI
Piece Nobel prize for uncle Vlad

trying to limit civilian casualties

OP map is accurate, since Russians only control roads and haven't actually established occupied zones or solid fronts. You can still get in and out of Mariupol, even though it's "surrounded" on those maps.

timeout

Looks like they're engaged in some touristic road trip in old Soviet era vehicles...

Its called spaghetti strat. You use it to snipe VPs and troll the opponent. Never seen it done IRL though.

Up until a couple if days ago, yeah. Now they are just moving to encircle and siege. First artillery, then bombers.
They need to win before they run out of money, so no more than sux months, even with fuel trade continuing.

>you didn't geotag this random tree or some other pebble 21,37km off the closest paved road, Ivan, so it's still the ukraine

cope map

>You can still get in and out of Mariupol,
The russians aren't cutting off anything. A lad on the ground has said they didn't even stop the trains although they have guys in the station. This is the least disruptive invasion I've ever seen (outside of an immediate surrender).
