Leftists use the word "racist" to instantly shut down inconvenient discussions and destroy reputations. The strength in the word is that its definition can be bent and molded into whatever is convenient at the time. Last night, I proposed a concept for a counter-narrative: popa. Popa is an acronym which stands for "pedophile or pedophile adjacent."
"Pedophile adjacent" is vague and flexible, while still being meaningful enough to evoke a response in the public. Leftists constantly consume media created by pedophiles or those who travel in pedophile circles. They watch shows like Euphoria and Skins, which depict underage people having sex, sometimes with adults. They support progressive social policies such as LGBT sex education for children, which enable and encourage child sexuality. Even if they don't personally support or consume these things, they are awfully quiet about their opposition to them. Calling these people "pedophile adjacent" is not even a lie.
>what is the point?
To start, literally every single elite in Hollywood, DC, and Manhattan is a popa, right off the bat. In Hollywood, they've all either defended Roman Polanski (or someone similar), worked with him, or frequently associate with the aforementioned. Joe Biden is a popa, and so are most political figures. This could put pressure on public figures to sever their social relationships.
>how is it pronounced?
Pope uh
>why not just call them pedos?
They're not pedos, just like most right-wingers aren't racists (though they should be). The goal is to create an umbrella term which will cause the public to gradually associate the "pedophile adjacent" with pedophiles themselves.
>the right has pedos too
This is a good opportunity to do some house cleaning.
>I don't like the acronym
Not married to it. As long as it's short, snappy, memorable, and associates the pedophile adjacent with pedophilia itself, it will be effective.
