We are often led to believe that the previous world-spanning Atlantean civilization was on a higher spiritual level, but I think they were just another high-tech version of our current globohomo that we mistakingly tend to idealize, at the same time disregarding the fact that maybe there really was a reason why the world was flooded and basically thrown back into a Bronze age (too much greed, materialism and degeneracy incurring God's wrath, etc.) as described in Genesis. I'd also like to think that it is possible that the purported 12-thousand-year cataclysmic cycle is some sort of a trial-and-error resetting mechanism whose end goal is to elevate humanity to its final and true spiritual state. Thoughts?

In Mexico and tihuantinsuyu they used purely draft rotary labor, the mit'a, in which once harvest was over, the men worked for the state instead of giving up their crops. Hence why massive social projects. China and Egypt had this as well, but limited to craftsman as their farming was more intensive, and also 3/4 seasons.
