While we have fucking extant stone reliefs from 6th century in which the Shah was talking about "Iranians and Aniranains (e.g. conquered Roman provinces)", we have heroic poems from 10th century about the nation of Iran, we have ancient Zoroastrian texts from Classical era talking about Aryanams.

In ancient times they would rely heavily on Greek mercenaries and Alexander the great BTFO the persians leading to Greek rule in the Middle East. Romans sacked the persian capital numerous times and would go on many conquests against them while the persians could not do anything comparable back to them. The persians lost their empire for good when Arabs BTFO them with less troops in every battle. Then persians were conquered and ruled by Turks up until the CIA put Pahlavis on the throne. persians have no Aryan DNA in them, they just love to larp as the people who conquered them and steal their culture.

It was 16th century Dutch traders, Minato. They are not "rooted" in Sanskrit btw. Rather Indic, Iranic and Europian languages have common origin. For Indo-Iranics, it is the Sintashta culture.
