Every significant media outlet is coopted to become a CIA front to some degree... That shouldn't be true, but it is. Nothing anyone can do about it. The same security that protects the CIA from China or Russia protects the CIA from Democracy and the American People.

there was a time in the health IT world that PHRs (person health records) were considered as the next evolution of maintaining health records in contrast to organizations running their own EHRs (electronic health records). google/mirosoft/apple was quite interested in the future technology and i can remember it was a big media circus promoting the idea of people "carrying" their health records on their own. this ended up pushing development of the biometric garbage through smart phones and watches. eventually companies like microsoft/google/apple abandoned the interest in creating PHRs and what remains today is the same structure of EHRs that were already established. the only big change is everything is more cloud based today. covid didn't make any significant changes beyond losing people a lot of money in some places and maybe funding them in other ways.
