a lot of people stopped upgrading their routers. very strange. phones and cable companies and phone companies and computer hardware companies and computer companies have ramped up their advertising 10fold in the last decade to service new speeds & tech but for some reason there's no haste in modem/router producers to advertise their new wares. almost like it's purposeful to artificially throttle internet speeds at a consumer level to save a few pennies.
